This San Francisco City Hall wedding was the perfect example of how timing and season can make all the difference. Taking place on a May morning at 9:00 am, this elegant celebration combined beautiful natural light, meaningful cultural traditions, and iconic San Francisco locations.

A 9:00 AM May Ceremony on the 4th Floor of City Hall
The wedding ceremony was held at 9:00 am in May on the 4th floor of San Francisco City Hall, an ideal choice for couples planning a larger City Hall wedding. With 60 guests in attendance, the space felt both intimate and grand, framed by classic architecture and soft morning light.
Choosing a May morning ceremony is one of the best decisions couples can make for a City Hall wedding. At this time of year, the sun sits at the perfect angle, filling the building with natural, even light without the harsh shadows that come later in the day.

Perfect May Morning Light for City Hall Wedding Photos
After the Ceremony, we captured some Group Pictures and then had the Couple photo session around 10:20 AM, which is a sweet spot for San Francisco City Hall wedding photography. The late-morning light in May beautifully illuminates the 4th Floor, hallways, and iconic Staircase, creating timeless and romantic images.
The calm atmosphere of an early May morning also allowed us to move effortlessly through City Hall, capturing natural, emotional moments without crowds.

A Celebration of Two Cultures: Egypt & India
One of the most beautiful parts of the day was witnessing two cultures — Egyptian and Indian — come together in celebration. The blend of traditions, colors, and family connections added depth and meaning to every moment, making this San Francisco City Hall wedding truly unique.

A Special Encounter with San Francisco’s Mayor
During our time at City Hall, we were lucky enough to run into San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie, who kindly stopped to congratulate the couple and take a quick photo with them. It was such a special and unexpected highlight — a moment that perfectly reflects the charm of a City Hall wedding in San Francisco.
Second Location: Palace of Fine Arts in Bright May Sunlight
After finishing photos at City Hall, we headed to the Palace of Fine Arts for a second location. By late morning in May, the sun was bright and high, the sky a vibrant blue, and the atmosphere full of joy.

The May light at the Palace of Fine Arts creates a dramatic yet romantic look — open skies, glowing skin tones, and cinematic scenery. The images felt straight out of a Disney movie, filled with warmth, movement, and love.
